“[Our leaders] are failing to lead an urgently needed conversation about how to confront the climate crisis,” Maggie Fox, wife of U.S. Senator Mark Udall (D-Colo.) wrote in an email Thursday
Yup. Really.
With real crises raging around the world, the Climate Reality Project (or CRaP, in the interest of brevity) wants to shift the focus to a made-up crisis.
But Maggie Fox, aka Mrs. Sen. Mark Udall, is not to be deterred. She posted a plea on the CRaP website calling for people to write Jim Lehrer and demand that he ask about climate change in the debate Oct. 3 in Denver.
“[O]ur leaders are not acting,” Fox wrote in an email Thursday as protestors in Cairo pelted the U.S. Embassy with rocks and bottles. “They are failing to lead an urgently needed conversation about how to confront the climate crisis.”
This is the functional equivalent of Marie Antoinette demanding a study of French cake recipes during the revolution. Really, they’re losing their heads over there in CRaP land.
If Mr Lehrer does burn time during the debates to ask about global warming, we hope he also nails down the candidates’ positions on the existence of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, the success of the stimulus, the efficacy of cash for clunkers and the effectiveness of Obamacare in holding down health-care costs.
All are equally illusory.

Ah, wonderful. The ignorant proud of their stupidity.
“If Mr Lehrer does burn time during the debates to ask about global warming, we hope he also nails down the candidates’ positions on the existence of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, the success of the stimulus, the efficacy of cash for clunkers and the effectiveness of Obamacare in holding down health-care costs.”
I hope you live long enough to have to explain this to your grandchildren. Why you fiddled? Why you drove up the costs to deal with this. You. It is your fault. You.
