As they say in bad movies, “He’s baack.”
Cheap Seats suspected that Jared Polis wouldn’t slink away when he dropped a lawsuit against a drilling company working on land adjacent to his weekend getaway. And Cheap Seats, as usual, was right.
Polis apparently is unaware that it’s important for drilling companies to understand the relationship between where drill rigs should be sited and the natural gas they wish to tap.
Simply put, if you don’t know where you are drilling from, you’re unlikely to hit the target.
Cheap Seats understands that’s not the way they do it in Boulder, to say nothing of Congress, but it’s a hard reality in the real world.
Best of all, it seems that the drilling company, Sundance Energy, is almost done.
Sundance CEO Eric McCrady called Polis’ plans “groundless.”
Cheap Seats thinks that seems unnecessarily charitable.
More like business as usual for Polis: Lots of bluster, little accomplishment.
