From the Cheap Seats: Overlooking the Climate Change Lie

The same manipulators that overstated the rate of supposed global warming have now “overlooked” something equally important.

The boys at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, aka The Gang That Can’t Predict Straight, have released a report that says humanity is causing the global warming that they overstated.

Included — or should we say, excluded — from the report by the Gang That Can’t Predict Straight, was the 17-year run in which the global temp, as measured by the Gang That Can’t Predict Straight, didn’t budge.

That might sound like an oversight, but there’s a lot at stake for the Gang That Can’t Predict Straight, but one of its leading lights, Phil Jones of East Anglia University, accidentally let the cat out of the bag in 2009.

That’s when he wrote in an email: “Bottom line: the no upward trend has to continue for a total of 15 years before we get worried.”

Uh, Phil, 15 years is in the rearview mirror, dude.

Of course, Jones never expected that bit of truth to come out. It didn’t until the Climategate emails leaked out and we all learned that the major function of the The Gang That Can’t Predict Straight is to hide the decline.

The glaring lack of comment on the flatline temperature inspired Dr. Richard Lindzen of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to observe that something seemed curiously wrong.

“I think that the latest IPCC report has truly sunk to level of hilarious incoherence,” Dr. Richard Lindzen said. “They are proclaiming increased confidence in their models as the discrepancies between their models and observations increase.”

Cheap Seats only wishes it was a laughing matter.
